Project team reviewing acoustic wall panel enquiry information

Project Intake Guide

Do I Need Drawings for an Acoustic Wall Panel Enquiry?

No complete drawing package is required for initial system selection. The information threshold increases as the enquiry moves from a shortlist to a final quotation and then to production.

The four information stages

1. Initial selectionDrawings optional

Room use, rough dimensions or area, photos, reference images, target market, quantity, date, and known performance needs.

2. Budget quotationSketches helpful

Assumed panel size, thickness, finish, mounting direction, edge treatment, quantity, packing, and delivery location.

3. Technical coordinationDrawings normally required

Plans, elevations, substrate, joints, openings, corners, services, trims, cavity, backing, and installer responsibilities.

4. Production approvalApproved drawing mandatory

Final dimensions, pattern, cut-outs, orientation, labels, accessories, packing marks, BOM, tolerances, and revision number.

Requirements by product family

PET decorative acoustic panels

Standard sheets, tiles, and colors can be shortlisted without drawings. Custom CNC shapes, perforations, logos, layered patterns, and wall compositions need dimensioned PDF, DXF, DWG, or AI artwork before final pricing and production.

Fabric-wrapped acoustic panels

Room photos and wall dimensions support an initial layout. Final pricing requires panel sizes, thickness, fabric, edge detail, mounting method, and an approved panel schedule or elevation.

Wood acoustic wall systems

Wood systems require earlier drawing coordination. Module direction, joint layout, substrate, cavity, acoustic backing, trims, corners, openings, and fixing details affect cut sizes, BOM, accessories, installation, and report applicability.

Keep every project reference aligned

Coordinate the approved sample, shop drawing, BOM, quotation, report scope, packing, and purchase order so they refer to the same product. Product shop drawings are detailing documents; they do not replace architectural design or an acoustic consultant's performance design.

Start with whatever already exists.

Photos, rough dimensions, a marked-up screenshot, mood board, PDF, BOQ, or CAD file can all begin the review.
